Hip Hop Music – A Brief History

Hip hop music has become one of the most popular forms of music around the world. It has been around for almost 30 years and is still growing. The first hip hop music was made in New York City by DJ Kool Herc, who started to spin records at parties in his friend’s apartment. In the early 1980s, DJ Afrika Bambaataa started the Universal Zulu Nation. He promoted the idea that black people should stand up against racism and discrimination.
